Taking the fear out of buying, preparing, and eating fresh fish.
Ono, or Wahoo is mild, flaky white fish that takes to smoke like a fish to water.
Looks Ono! ;-) Got your comment on my Opah recipe and thank you. I am happy for you to post it on your site and flattered too. I got a channce to view your site a bit and I'll be back. I am still somewhat of a newbie cook with fish but am working through the "fear" so your site will be helpful.
Thanks for friending me on Food Buzz! As much as I love seafood, I hardly cook it myself at home. It's not that I'm afraid of cooking with fish; it's usually out of my budget. Well, my tiny college budget anyway lol Now I know to reference here whenever the market has a sale and hope that my roommates don't throw a fit from the smell haha
Wow, that is an excellent pic. What smokewood did you use?
Carla - That is so funny you said that about your roommates. Even in my house, most of the fish cooking is done outside. lol. Even in winter. Nate-n-annie - That smoked ono is smoked with a fruitwood (Apple and Cherry together). Thanks for the comments!
